Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Store Manager to lead our team and drive store success. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new employees to build a high-performing team.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, POS systems, and customer engagement.
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping.
- Oversee inventory control, purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize profitability.
- Utilize negotiation skills to build relationships with vendors and suppliers for favorable purchasing terms.
- Monitor store performance metrics regularly and develop action plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures.
- Foster a positive shopping experience through excellent customer service and effective communication skills.
- Manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining organizational skills to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are preferred for serving diverse customer bases.
- Experience with POS systems, retail math, cash handling, and cashiering procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
- Skilled in customer service excellence with phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with effective time management and organizational skills.
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
