American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and prior Level 1 Trauma CT experience.

Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting with Magnet designation and 865 staffed beds
-
Works in Radiology/Cardiology CT Scan department
-
Adult acute care, outpatient, emergency department, and ICU patient populations
-
3x12 hour day shifts, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
-
Holiday rotation required
-
On-call rotation with staff required
-
May float within scope to sister facilities as needed
-
Uses Epic for charting and PACS, Siemens, and Sectra equipment
-
Performs CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest including contrast studies, CTA, and specialized procedures
-
Minimum 1 year of CT Tech experience preferred; 6 months Level I Trauma experience required

BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (CT) certifications required

SC license required if applicable

Siemens equipment experience required

Level I Trauma experience required

Epic charting experience required

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Proficient in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
-
Skilled in image display and post-processing techniques including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
-
First-time travelers accepted if they have relevant prior experience
-
Perform a range of CT procedures including trauma imaging, vascular studies, biopsies, drainages, and specialized brain and cardiac imaging
-
Teal top and black bottom scrubs required

Located in an area subject to hurricane season from June through November, during which staff may be assigned to emergency response teams

Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis

Radius rule of 60 miles applies, with non-local candidates prioritized
-
Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
