Unity Bulldogs Pet Grooming is a premium, appointment-only, cage-free dog grooming salon dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets and an outstanding experience for every client.
We believe in quality over quantity, teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and creating a calm, safe environment for both pets and our team. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager who can lead our staff, improve our systems, and help take our salon to the next level.
This is not a desk job. We are looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching people, solving problems, creating efficient systems, delivering exceptional customer service, and helping a growing business succeed.

Position Summary
The Pet Grooming Salon Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the salon while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, employee performance, organization, efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.
This position works closely with the owner to ensure the salon operates smoothly while continuously improving systems, developing employees, and delivering an exceptional client experience.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who enjoys motivating people, holding teams accountable, improving processes, and creating an organized, positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support receptionists, groomers, bathers, and support staff.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.
- Train new employees and help existing employees continue developing professionally.
- Conduct daily team check-ins and participate in weekly team meetings.
- Hold employees accountable to company standards and policies.
- Help resolve conflicts professionally and fairly.
- Lead by example through professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude.
Salon Operations
- Oversee the daily operation of the salon.
- Ensure appointments flow efficiently throughout the day.
- Help maximize productivity while maintaining service quality.
- Monitor scheduling to minimize downtime and scheduling gaps.
- Ensure pets are assigned to the appropriate groomer based on experience, handling ability, and service needs.
- Monitor daily operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in creating and improving operational systems.
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Resolve client concerns professionally.
- Build lasting relationships with clients.
- Maintain a five-star customer experience.
- Ensure all client communication meets company standards.
- Monitor online reviews and customer feedback.
- Help increase customer retention through outstanding service.
Reception Management
- Supervise front desk operations.
- Ensure appointment confirmations are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure phone calls, text messages, and emails are answered promptly.
- Verify appointment notes are accurate.
- Monitor scheduling accuracy.
- Ensure proper checkout procedures.
- Help improve appointment booking efficiency.
Staff Accountability
- Monitor attendance and punctuality.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed.
- Verify salon cleanliness throughout the day.
- Enforce company policies consistently.
- Help maintain a safe work environment.
- Encourage teamwork and communication.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain organized records.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Help create and improve SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Track team performance and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with ownership on business improvements.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of management or leadership experience.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Professional conflict resolution skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Bilingual : English and Spanish
Preferred
- Experience managing a pet grooming salon.
- Experience in veterinary, daycare, kennel, or other pet care environments.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Experience using scheduling software.
- Experience coaching employees.
- Knowledge of dog behavior and pet safety.

Physical Requirements

Schedule
- Full-Time
- 8-hour shifts
- Monday through Sunday availability required
- Must be available to work weekends as needed
- Holidays as needed
