The Role: Senior Credentialing Specialist
Salary: $55,000 to $70,000 DOE

We are a rapidly expanding Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) organization providing services across multiple states. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to individuals with autism and related disorders. As we grow, we are seeking a skilled credentialing professional to support multi-state payer enrollment and compliance.
Position Summary:
The Multi-State Credentialing Specialist will oversee all aspects of provider credentialing and payer enrollment across multiple states. This role requires strong knowledge of Medicaid and commercial insurance processes, as well as the ability to manage varying state-specific requirements efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing for BCBAs, RBTs, and other clinical providers across multiple states
- Submit, track, and follow up on Medicaid and commercial payer applications
- Navigate and ensure compliance with state-specific credentialing and
enrollment requirements
- Maintain and update CAQH profiles, NPI records, and provider documentation
- Track credentialing expirations and proactively initiate re-credentialing
processes
- Serve as the primary liaison with insurance payers and state agencies
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready credentialing files
- Collaborate with operations, HR, and clinical leadership to support
onboarding timelines
- Assist with payer contracting and expansion into new states
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of healthcare credentialing experience, with multi-state experience required
- Strong experience with Medicaid enrollment across multiple states Proficiency with CAQH, NPI registry, PECOS (Medicare), and payer portals
- In-depth understanding of payer requirements and credentialing workflows
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced credentialing processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in ABA, behavioral health, or pediatric services
- Familiarity with multi-state expansion and new market entry
- Experience with credentialing software platforms (e.g., Modio, Symplr, or similar)
