Electrical Service Crew Lead — Burlington, NC Area
Established electrical contractor is hiring a hands-on crew lead to run service and installation jobs ($100K and under) across residential, commercial, and institutional sites. You'll be the go-to on the job site — installing, troubleshooting, and directing a small crew of electricians and helpers while keeping work on schedule and up to NEC standards.
What You'll Do
- Run the day-to-day on your job site — lead the crew, coordinate with the Superintendent, and keep quality and schedule on track
- Perform installations from technical diagrams and specs
- Troubleshoot electrical issues with standard testing equipment
What You Need
- 3–5 years of electrical experience (or 2 years plus an associate degree/certification)
- Journeyman's License or city card — or ability to get one within a year
- Strong conduit and wiring installation skills
- Experience with feeder distribution, medium voltage, switchgear, generators, underground distribution, fire alarms, and UPS systems
- Solid working knowledge of the NEC
- Your own hand tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to lead a crew and work independently
Bonus Points
- Apprenticeship program graduate
- Current Journeyman Electrician License
This is a physical, in-the-field role — climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, indoor/outdoor work in all conditions.
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
