Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians in and around construction sites. This position requires the Traffic Controller to be trustworthy and reliable, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and the public.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic flow around construction sites to ensure safety for workers and the public.
- Operate Traffic Control Vehicles.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate traffic control measures effectively.
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding site conditions and any potential hazards.
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic control devices and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License
- Previous experience on Traffic Control is Preferred, but Not required
- Able to locate various locations and safely drive vehicle and equipment to location
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions when necessary.
- Traffic Certification is preferred, but not required. Traffic Officers must have Post Certification or retired credentials of Law Enforcement Department
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
