Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests to provide personalized recommendations and enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Manage bar inventory, restocking supplies efficiently while minimizing waste.
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates based on current trends and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours or special events.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by monitoring guest consumption and preventing over-serving.
- Handle cash handling procedures accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
Requirements
- Preferred experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry.
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly.
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in math calculations like retail math or food industry math.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, inventory management, and sales tracking.
- Hospitality industry experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments is highly valued.
