Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy's operations, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. This position requires a strong desire to provide exceptional customer service, along with the ability to multi-task, and perform the job duties both safe and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient intake.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
- Perform inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
- Participate in continuous education to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices and advancements if necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred (retail customer service would be helpful if no pharmacy experience)
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to medications and patient care is helpful.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
