We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to drive field testing operations and support strategic customer engagements across utility, industrial, and high-voltage environments. This role combines technical expertise, operational leadership, and customer-facing responsibilities to ensure successful execution of complex testing and commissioning projects. The ideal candidate will lead field engineering teams, oversee testing strategy, and serve as a trusted technical advisor in the field.
- Lead and oversee field testing and commissioning activities across utility and industrial projects
- Serve as the technical authority for testing standards, methodologies, safety practices, and execution quality
- Develop and implement field testing strategies to support customer projects and business growth initiatives
- Engage directly with customers onsite, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and real-time problem resolution
- Mentor and develop field engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and customer service
- Prepare proposals, estimate labor and equipment requirements, define project scope and methodology, and coordinate project logistics
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and operations teams to align technical execution with customer needs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to field testing processes, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of experience in field testing, commissioning, or power systems engineering, including 5+ years in leadership or management roles
- Strong background working with high-voltage electrical systems, substations, or utility infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard testing equipment including Omicron, Doble, Megger, or similar platforms
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex field-based customer projects
- Deep understanding of power systems, protection & controls, commissioning, and electrical testing methodologies
- Strong customer engagement, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively to customer and project sites
- Experience within utility, renewable energy, power delivery, or large-scale industrial sectors
- Familiarity with digital field reporting, data collection, and testing software platforms
- PMP certification or additional project management credentials preferred
- NETA certification or related industry credentials are a plus
