Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Cambridge Interventional is seeking a shipping and receiving clerk. Cambridge Interventional is a medical device manufacturer committed to advancing interventional cancer therapy through research, engineering, high-quality products, and physician support.
Job Description
You will perform a variety of shipping, receiving and administrative tasks per the Company’s written incoming receiving and inspection and outgoing shipping procedures. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
+ Prepare and track commercial domestic and international shipments per the Company’s procedures.
- Pick, pack and label items per packing list.
- Confirm quantities and shipping destination are correct.
- Select appropriate shipping container.
- Pack items to ensure safe delivery.
- Prepare bills of lading and other required shipping documentation.
- Document / log shipment.
- Track shipments and work with courier, customs and recipient to ensure on-time delivery.
- Trace lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments, initiates proof of delivery documents.
+ Receive and inspect incoming item(s) per the Company’s receiving procedures.
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of incoming item(s)
- Inspect incoming item(s) for damage or defects.
- Sort, count, and label incoming item(s).
- Document / log incoming item(s).
+ Organize and maintain the Company’s inventory stock rooms/areas.
+ Follow established Company policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
+ Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirement
+ A high school diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of relevant experience OR an associate degree and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience
+ Experience work at Medical Device or Life Sciences company
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Ability to receive and inspect in-coming orders/deliveries, with strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to handle all shipping duties and responsibilities, with strong attention to detail.
+ Strong computer skills e.g., experience with MRP systems, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
+ Ability to maintain and file document records per Company’s document control procedure.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Working Conditions
+ Requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
+ Work environment is the shipping and receiving area at company factory.
