As a Veterinary Assistant you would be working along side the veterinarians and the technicians to provide excellent patient care. Duties of the assistant include but are not limited to:
obtaining patient histories, restraint during examinations for both veterinarians and technicians, preparing exam rooms and treatment areas for the day, assisting in surgical or medical procedures, delivering educational information regarding preventatives, diets, and vaccines to clients .
Previous experience in the veterinary community is welcomed but not necessary.
Individuals applying should be able to work in a team environment, be ready to work on their feet for long hours, and are required to work some weekends.
