We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the EOS team!
EOS Defense Systems USA develops and produces highly accurate, cost-effective, modular, and scalable Remote Weapon Systems that satisfy our customers' most demanding requirements in both CUAS and ground-to-ground missions.
The Production Engineer analyzes, develops, and implements manufacturing procedures, work instructions and processes designed to maximize utilization of equipment, labor and material. The Production Engineer is responsible for applying continuous improvement methods to improve production efficiency, reduce cost, and maximize profitability.
THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineer or related discipline or 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with more progressively
challenging requirements.
- Knowledge and experience in the following: production & manufacturing, data gathering & data analysis, capacity planning, project management, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Preferred)
- Skilled in in Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tools
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel
- Inter-personal skills and ability to motivate team members
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Ability to travel, if needed.
Primary Duties:
- Analyze production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and operational data to optimize manufacturing efficiency and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain management control systems, reports, and analytical tools to support financial planning, cost analysis, and operational excellence.
- Develop manufacturing process instructions / work instructions for assembly operations.
- Support manufacturing operations to ensure production milestones, cost targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Monitor production performance, provide status reporting, and identify risks or issues that may impact schedules, capacity, or operational goals.
- Conduct capacity planning and assess equipment, labor, and resource requirements to support current and future production needs.
- Apply engineering principles, data analysis, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies to identify production issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Improve labor productivity and process efficiency through Lean Manufacturing principles, best practices, workflow optimization, work instructions, and assembly sequencing.
- Coordinate with supply chain to ensure the timely availability of materials, components, and assemblies required for production.
- Develop and maintain design standards, control systems, and processes that ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, technical staff, and cross-functional teams to ensure designs, production processes, and customer requirements are successfully executed.
- Assemble, align, troubleshoot, and construct complex optical and mechanical systems as required.
- Evaluate production performance and provide feedback to employees to support performance and development objectives.
- Build strong partnerships across technical and business functions to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and achieve organizational goals.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and business stakeholders to facilitate communication, alignment, and decision-making.
- Promote a culture of ethical conduct, customer focus, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Effectively work across diverse functional areas and management levels to support operational success.
