We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator specializing in Residential Construction to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates for residential projects, from initial conceptualization through to project completion. Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive construction estimates.
- Utilize estimating software such as Houzz to prepare detailed cost proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to review project scope and clarify requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess construction conditions and gather accurate data for cost calculations.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure cost control and financial accuracy.
- Prepare bid packages, review contracts, and support contract negotiations with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating within residential or similar sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction management processes, contracts, and project management principles.
- Proficiency in Houzz, and other estimating or project management software tools.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into on-the-ground realities of residential building projects.
- Familiarity with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget management.
