Opening for school age head childcare teacher at our before/after school programs located in Beacon Falls and Prospect.
Childcare School Age Head Teacher Position Summary:
Responsible for the care, education, supervision and safety of all children in their care as part of a team. Helps keep the program running smoothly and director aware of any concerns/issues. Learns, implements and ensures compliance with State of CT Licensing standards.
Minimum qualifications/requirements
- Office of Early Childhood School Age Head Teacher Certificate
- Experience in childcare, before/after school setting required - 1+ year professional exp.
- Clear understanding of OEC licensing requirements, and willingness to meet.
- Must have or be willing to obtain current first aid, CPR, and medication administration training.
- Must be able to successfully pass all security and background checks in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.

- Must have personal qualities necessary to care for and work with children, work as part of a team and communicate with parents and other professionals.
- Flexible schedule to work before and after school shifts approx. 6:30-8:30 and 2:45-5/6
- Occasional 8:30-10:30 and/or 12:45-5/6 on delayed openings or early dismissal days
- For the 26-27 school year we also have open positions for a school age teachers/assistants. Flexible before and/or after school schedule.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Professional Childcare Experience in a Childcare Center: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- CPR/1st Aid Certificate (Preferred)
- OEC School Age Head Teacher Certificate (Required)
