IMEG is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern in Long Island, NY. Over 10- 12 weeks , you'll gain hands-on experience supporting engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading design while learning the transportation engineering trade.
You'll collaborate with experienced engineers and consultants, work within project budgets, and support cross-functional teams to help meet project goals and client expectations. You will also contribute to documentation, coordination, and project delivery within a civil team serving environmental, municipal, and wastewater clients across Long Island and New York City.

Assist with transportation design for highway , bridge , transit, and multimodal projects according to code and IMEG standards.
Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
Recent work includes Great Neck Water Pollution Control Sewer, Government; LIU College of Science, Education; and Southampton Hospital EOR, Healthcare.

State of New York Pay Range: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location.
Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.
Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
