Shift: Day Shift (Schedule Based on Department Needs)
Weekend Rotation: On-Call Every 4th Weekend
On-Call: Once Per Week and Every 4th Weekend
MedOp Solutions is partnering with a community-based hospital in southeastern Wisconsin to hire an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative surgical environment supporting a wide variety of procedures while delivering exceptional perioperative patient care.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent Operating Room experience and be comfortable circulating a broad range of surgical specialties. While this facility's OR nurses primarily circulate, candidates with scrub experience are also welcomed. This assignment is an excellent opportunity for nurses who thrive in a team-oriented setting and enjoy caring for patients throughout the perioperative experience.

- Circulate surgical procedures while maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to sterile technique throughout surgery
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff
- Assist with patient positioning, surgical counts, and documentation
- Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures
- Document perioperative care accurately using EPIC
- Participate in scheduled on-call coverage
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Experience circulating a variety of surgical specialties
- Scrub experience is beneficial but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
- EMR: EPIC
- Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- One day of facility and department orientation
- Unit-specific workflow and equipment training
- Full-time schedule based on department needs
- On-call required once per week
- On-call every fourth weekend
- Floating required to Southern Lakes and Burlington Hospital locations as needed
- Weekend call rotation required
- Time-off requests require manager approval
