Summary/Objective:
Provides diagnostic assessment, psychological testing and evaluation, and mental health treatment to individuals, couples and families utilizing accepted standards of clinical practice, and following HIPAA, relevant licensing standards, and third-party requirements. Serves as a leader on the multi-disciplinary case consultation team. Provides clinical supervision and training to clinical staff and/or agency programs as assigned. Follows APA ethical guidelines in the provision of psychological services.
Required Education and Experience:
Must possess a doctoral degree and be licensed as a psychologist in the jurisdiction of practice. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to conceptualize cases.
Essential Functions:
Clinical Responsibilities

Provision of individual, group, or family psychotherapy to assigned clients, within competency areas.

Complete assessments, as assigned within the outlined time frames, e.g., diagnostic assessments, Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluations (EIDBI) .

Conduct psychological testing and evaluation; completion of evaluation reports within designated time frames.

Ensure services provided are medically necessary.

Development of initial treatment plans at the onset of therapy and completion of treatment plan reviews within required time frames.

Provides leadership at multi-disciplinary case staffing meetings, assisting with case conceptualization and treatment planning, as well as screenings for psychological testing referrals

Provides clinical supervision to clinical staff and/or agency programs as assigned, in keeping with best practices and licensing/certification requirements (e.g., CTSS, ARMHS, Case Management, EIDBI)

Provides training to agency staff as assigned

Follows APA ethical guidelines in the provision of psychological services
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete notes for services rendered in a timely manner, in keeping with policy and the need for medical justification.

Provide required information for billing to third party vendors (e.g., prior approval for managed care/insurance).

Maintain continuing education requirements for professional licensing.

Participate in mandatory agency trainings, as scheduled.

Attend Outpatient and Psychology Department meetings as scheduled.

Attendance and participation at formal case consultation meetings, four hours per month or in keeping with standards.

Contribute to the development of agency policies and procedures as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This is primarily an office-based position which works in a private office at the assigned clinic location. The position utilizes a computer throughout the day for completion of clinical documentation. Sessions and meetings may be held in person or via videoconference, as appropriate/applicable. This position will work with a variety of clients with varying mental health conditions, including behavioral sequelae.
Under normal circumstances the employee will need to have the physical capacity to continuously use his/her hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation. Occasionally the employee will be required to do the following:
