Join our dynamic team as a Tow Truck Driver & Light Service Technician, where you will be the frontline hero in vehicle recovery, roadside assistance, and light mechanical repairs. Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbeds and other commercial vehicle recovery equipment, to transport vehicles efficiently and securely.
- Perform vehicle recovery towing, ensuring adherence to cargo securement protocols for all types of vehicles.
- Conduct light mechanical services such as minor mechanical vehicle repairs, basic troubleshooting, and automotive diagnostics to assist stranded customers or prepare vehicles for transport.
- Load and unload vehicles carefully using proper manual techniques and mechanical knowledge to prevent damage.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services performed, and ensuring a positive experience during stressful situations.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during vehicle loading onto tow trucks and while on the road to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with cargo securement protocols, ensuring all loads are properly secured before transit for safety compliance.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and vehicle troubleshooting.
- Proven ability in commercial truck driving with a valid license for heavy or commercial vehicles; experience with manual transmissions is preferred.
- Expertise in car towing, vehicle recovery towing, and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks.
- Skilled in automotive repair techniques relevant to truck mechanics for drivers needing roadside assistance or minor repairs.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean record; familiarity with flatbed tow trucks and cargo securement protocols is highly desirable.
- Effective conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally while maintaining safety standards.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically during stressful roadside incidents.
