Join our team as a Cook dedicated to serving preschool-aged children within our Head Start Program! This vital role involves preparing nutritious, appealing meals that support early childhood development and promote healthy eating habits. You will be responsible for creating balanced menus, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing a warm, welcoming dining experience for young learners. Duties
- Prepare and cook meals that comply with USDA, CACFP and Head Start guidelines
- Plan menus that incorporate a variety of healthy, age-appropriate foods while accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Ensure compliance with all food safety management protocols to uphold sanitation standards in the kitchen environment
Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in food preparation and food services, preferably with children
- Servsafe Manager Certification
- Hands-on experience with food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling, and high-volume production environment
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
