Position Summary
As a Seafood Delivery Driver, you will safely and efficiently transport seafood products to customer locations while ensuring that every order is delivered on time, accurately, and in excellent condition. This position requires safe driving practices, attention to detail, physical capability, and a strong commitment to customer service.
Experience with commercial driving, food distribution, delivery operations, or warehouse work is helpful, but a positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to contribute to the team are equally important.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles while following all traffic laws, company procedures, and safety requirements.
- Deliver seafood products to restaurants, markets, and other customer locations accurately and on schedule.
- Load and unload products efficiently while using proper lifting, handling, and cargo-securing practices.
- Protect the quality and condition of products throughout the delivery process.
- Verify orders, quantities, delivery information, and required documentation.
- Provide courteous, professional, and responsive service during every customer interaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, invoices, receipts, and other required records.
- Communicate delivery delays, product concerns, vehicle issues, or customer requests promptly.
- Complete routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Keep the delivery vehicle and cargo area clean, organized, and ready for service.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- A minimum age of 18 years.
- The ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more safely.
- The ability to climb into and out of delivery vehicles throughout the workday.
- A dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach to work.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivery accuracy.
- A positive, team-oriented mindset and a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Professional communication and customer-service skills.
- The ability to work independently while remaining accountable to the team.
- Commercial driving, delivery, food distribution, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
