Our client is seeking a Licensed Customer Service Representative (P&C) to join their growing insurance agency in Paramus, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional with personal lines experience who enjoys helping clients, building long-term relationships, and contributing to agency growth through exceptional service and sales support.
In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and retaining existing clients, assisting with policy needs, and identifying opportunities to provide additional insurance solutions. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and motivated to succeed in a fast-paced agency environment.
What You'll Do as a Licensed Customer Service Representative (P&C):
- Service and maintain existing homeowners and auto insurance policies
- Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, billing inquiries, and coverage questions
- Provide outstanding customer service to support client retention
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and sell new home and auto insurance policies
- Work directly with insurance carriers to ensure efficient policy servicing and issue resolution
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication
- Support retention efforts and contribute to overall agency growth
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
- Respond promptly to client requests and follow up on outstanding service needs
Required/Preferred Qualifications for a Licensed Customer Service Representative (P&C):
- Active New Jersey Property & Casualty (P&C) License required
- Minimum of 1 year of personal lines insurance experience required
- Experience servicing homeowners and auto insurance policies
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience
What is Offered as a Licensed Customer Service Representative (P&C):
- Base salary of $55,000 annually
- Retention commission opportunities ranging from $2,000–$10,000+ per year
