Responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and safety of the hotel through preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and general upkeep of guest rooms and public hotel areas. Helps to ensure exceptional guest experience by responding promptly to maintenance needs, completing scheduled preventative maintenance, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Collaborate with the MCR Facilities Department on larger hotel maintenance projects and building improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms to ensure all rooms remain in excellent condition.
- Complete painting, drywall and plaster patching, touch-up painting, and minor carpentry repairs.
- Replace batteries in electronic locks, thermostats, television remotes, and other guest room equipment.
- Test, inspect, and replace batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors according to established schedules.
- Repair or replace guest room fixtures including towel bars, door hardware, shelving, furniture, lighting, and plumbing fixtures.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, shower heads, and drains.
- Complete minor electrical repairs such as replacing outlets, switches, light bulbs, and fixtures within skill level.
- Inspect guest rooms for safety hazards and report deficiencies requiring specialized repair.
- Perform daily inspections of public spaces to identify maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests while providing courteous customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance and storage areas.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance activities including snow removal, ice control, pressure washing, and exterior cleaning.
- Assist the convention center with maintenance needs, moving furniture or equipment as needed.
- Complete preventative maintenance schedules for hotel equipment and facilities, maintains accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Recommend repairs or replacement of equipment as necessary.
- Works with MCR Facilities Department on larger hotel maintenance projects, renovations, and specialized work.
- Properly utilize personal protective equipment.
- Immediately reports unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Maintain compliance with all fire, life safety, and emergency procedures.
- Shall perform any other duties as assigned.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED required. Vocational or technical training in building maintenance is preferred.

- Ability to read and understand financial reports, policy and procedure manuals, and technical instructions. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations.
CRIMINAL BACKGROUND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
No person shall be eligible for employment at Menominee Casino Resort/Thunderbird complex if they have been convicted, or have a pending unresolved charge of:
