Production Lead - Food Manufacturing
Chi Kitchen is a growing kimchi, fermented vegetable and pickle manufacturing company in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for high-quality food production, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong commitment to food safety. This is a hands-on role requiring experience in food manufacturing, food safety, and experience leading a small team. Experience with fermented foods is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Production Manager and CHI-OO in the food manufucaturing production operations at Chi Kitchen
- Oversee and lead a small team, delegating tasks and providing guidance while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and ensuring team is strictly following Chi Kitchens food safety standard operating procedures
- Maintain accurate production, distribution and food safety validated records
- Lead by example - following processes, being reliable, treating team members with respect, while setting expectations
- Be proactive in solving problems and improving lean manufacturing processes
Experience and Qualifications We are Looking For:
- 1- 3 years of proven experience leading a team in a food manufacturing production role or fast paced kitchen environment. - Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Food Safety. - PCQI, GMP or HACCP Certified preferred.
- Ability to manage, delegate and lead a team of 2-3 people with a focus on building and supporting individual and team skills to meet daily production goals
- Fostering a low stress work environment built on positivity, respect, accountability and strong work ethics.
- Strong attention to detail with proven record keeping experience and organizational skills.
- Strong Communicator that is effective and comfortable managing change and new processes
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, enjoy working with your hands and be on your feet for long periods of time

Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (4 day work week)
8 am - 6:45 pm (10 hr shift with 1 hour of break time)
*Schedule and hours not flexible. Do not apply if you can't work these hours
Location: Must reside near Pawtucket, Rhode Island, or within a 30-minute maximum commute.
Compensation and Benefits:
$20 -21hr to start
5 Paid Time Off days the 1st year (10 PTO days, 2nd year)
6 Paid Holidays throughout the year
