As a full-time Line Cook, you'll enjoy 40 guaranteed hours each week, a consistent schedule, every other weekend off, and no late nights—with shifts ending by 8:30 PM at the latest. Position Summary
The Line Cook accurately and efficiently prepares, portions, cooks, and presents a variety of food items for residents during scheduled meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. This role supports high‑quality dining services in a senior living environment while maintaining safety, sanitation, and consistency.
Essential Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to planned menus and standardized recipes

Complete daily prep work and follow production sheets

Plate and present food with attention to quality and appearance

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper storage and labeling

Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly use kitchen equipment

Support team members and contribute to smooth daily kitchen operations
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required Degree: High school diploma
Required Certificate: Serv Safe Certification
Experience:

Desired is 3-4 years of related and advanced food service and cooking experience.

Experience with basic operation of kitchen equipment is preferred.

Intermediate to advanced knife experience.

Reasonable Pay Estimate
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $17.52 - $23.06 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
