The Production Manager coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to a production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.
Essential/Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follows all safety requirements, safety policy and company policy, reporting any observed violation to superior and any hazardous situation to the Safety Committee
- Fostering and encouraging safe practices on the shop floor
- Active participation along with reporting work related safety concerns to the Safety Committee
- Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables to determine personnel or material requirements as well as material priorities.
- Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering.
- Confer with establishment personnel, vendors or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
- Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
- Compile information, such as production rates and progress, material inventory, materials used, or customer information so status reports can be completed.
- Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
- Plan production commitments or timetables for business units, specific programs, or jobs using sales forecasts.
- Enforcing policies and procedures
- Perform evaluations on personnel
- Maintain positive morale and overall attitude of the team, developing and maintaining a team atmosphere
- Provide support to the team to insure they meet the stated objectives
- Organize training opportunities for team
- Other duties assigned by management

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in a related production manager role
- Knowledge of MRP or other computer systems
- Excellent computer proficiency
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
