Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. As a Small Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), the use of power tools, and the ability to work with schematics and technical manuals.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with engines and other small engine systems
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
- Perform generator repair and maintenance as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repairs
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Small Engine Mechanic
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipmnt systems
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and repair instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain repairs to customers
