Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within our dental clinic, providing exceptional support to both patients and dentists. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring accuracy in medical coding and documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the dentist or office manager to ensure optimal patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental assistant role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures is essential.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols within a dental setting is required.
- Proficiency in dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Experience with medical coding is a plus but not necessary for all applicants.
