Lead Clinical Excellence in an Outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Mental Health Environment
The Director of Clinical Services provides strategic and operational leadership for all clinical programming and therapeutic services within our Outpatient Treatment Program. This role ensures the delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory compliance, clinical quality, and strong multidisciplinary collaboration across outpatient levels of care.
What You’ll Do
- Provide oversight and leadership for all clinical programs and therapeutic services
- Ensure implementation and fidelity of evidence-based treatment models appropriate for behavioral health populations
- Lead, mentor, and support multidisciplinary clinical teams, including therapists, case managers, psychiatrists, and nursing leadership
- Collaborate with Medical Staff and Nursing to support clinical quality, patient safety, and continuity of care
- Monitor and analyze clinical outcomes, utilization metrics, length of stay, and quality indicators
- Ensure compliance with CARF, CMS, state licensing, and behavioral health regulatory requirements
- Oversee clinical documentation standards and treatment planning processes
- Participate in accreditation readiness, audits, and performance improvement initiatives
- Support staff development, clinical supervision, and ongoing education
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases and escalated patient care concerns
What We’re Looking For
- Active, unrestricted clinical license required (LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC-S)
- Minimum of 2+ years of progressive clinical leadership experience in behavioral health
- Demonstrated experience in Outpatient SUD settings
- Strong knowledge of:
- Evidence-based psychiatric treatment models
- Multidisciplinary team leadership
- Regulatory and accreditation standards for behavioral health
- Proven ability to lead teams while balancing clinical quality and operational performance
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience overseeing outpatient behavioral health services is helpful
- Prior Director or Manager-level leadership experience
