We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join a growing custom construction company specializing in unique residential and outdoor building projects. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong framing and general carpentry experience who enjoy working on one-of-a-kind structures. Travel is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled carpentry work on custom construction projects
- Read and interpret basic plans, drawings, and layouts
- Utilize power tools and hand tools to construct and assemble building components
- Work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work areas
- Collaborate professionally with clients, vendors, and team members
- Maintain quality workmanship and attention to detail throughout all phases of construction
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience framing decks, residential structures, or similar construction projects required
- Timber framing or specialty carpentry experience preferred but not required
- Proficient with power tools, measuring devices, and basic construction calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and safety standards
- Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods as needed
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Must provide basic hand tools and cordless drill/impact driver
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions year-round
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
