Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and family-centered Service Coordinator who is passionate about supporting young children with developmental delays and their families.
The Service Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between families, therapists, physicians, and community partners. This individual ensures that children receive timely, high-quality Early Intervention services while helping families navigate the Early Intervention process with confidence and compassion.
Beyond coordinating services, our Service Coordinators are advocates, problem-solvers, and relationship builders who help create positive experiences for both families and providers.
Responsibilities
- Family Support & Advocacy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned families.
Service Coordination
- Coordinate evaluations, IFSP meetings, and service implementation.
- Ensure services begin within required state timelines.
- Monitor service delivery and address scheduling concerns promptly.
- Maintain communication with therapists, families, and municipalities.
- Coordinate transitions as children approach preschool eligibility.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Speech, Occupational, Physical, Special Instruction, and other providers.
- Foster a collaborative team approach centered on each child's success.
- Support therapists by helping remove barriers that interfere with service delivery.
- Encourage open communication among all members of the child's team.
- Build trusting, respectful relationships with caregivers.
- Guide families through the Early Intervention process.
- Ensure families understand their rights, services, and available community resources.
- Advocate for each child's individual needs and developmental goals.
Experience
- Meets New York State Early Intervention Service Coordinator qualifications.
Preferred
- Experience in New York State Early Intervention.
- Knowledge of IFSP development and implementation.
- Bilingual (Spanish or another language) is a plus.
- Experience working with children birth to three and their families.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $25.47 - $30.67 per hour
