DIGITAL PRESS OPERATOR
Responsible for producing high-quality digital print work accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This position requires strong Adobe skills, excellent organization, sound judgment in prioritizing work, and hands-on responsibility for digital printing equipment and the production area.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate digital printing and related production equipment; set up and run jobs according to job tickets, specifications, stock, color, quantity, and due dates.
· Review and prepare customer files for production. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign is required; identify and correct common file issues before printing.
· Maintain organized digital files, job materials, work-in-process, and completed work so jobs can be located and moved through production efficiently.
· Plan and prioritize daily work from a list of jobs and due dates. Work independently, anticipate what is needed next, and keep production moving without constant direction.
· Perform quality checks throughout production for color, registration, image quality, accuracy, and consistency; identify problems before work proceeds to the next step.
· Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of digital presses and related equipment. Coordinate service and order replacement parts when needed.
· Monitor and order paper, substrates, supplies, parts, and other materials needed for scheduled jobs to prevent production delays.
· Keep presses, equipment, work tables, and the overall production area clean, orderly, and safe.
· Accurately record job status, materials used, production information, and any job or equipment issues.
· Work cooperatively with customer service, design, finishing, and other production team members. Communicate clearly, help where needed, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications & Expectations
· Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign is required; general Adobe Creative Cloud and print-file/prepress experience preferred.
· Digital printing or commercial print production experience strongly preferred.
· Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple jobs with changing priorities and deadlines.
· Self-starter who takes ownership of work, solves problems, and knows when to ask for assistance.
· Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to work effectively and respectfully in a small-team environment.
· Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and handle paper, materials, and production supplies as required.
Physical Demands, PPE & Work Environment
Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, lifting, and repetitive production tasks. Must be able to safely lift and handle paper, materials, and supplies up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
PPE: Use required personal protective equipment as appropriate, including safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, and safety shoes/boots.

Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
