Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a mechanic to help with repairs and routine maintenance at our local family owned trucking company.
Schedule: FlexiblePart-time, some nights and weekends.
Duties:
- Change Tires
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication
- Conduct inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment
- Align and adjust brakes, replace brake pads, and perform other brake repairs
- Weld or fabricate parts as needed
- Operate heavy equipment such as tractor-trailers for testing purposes
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
What we want from you:
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for equipment repair
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Experience with brake repair and alignment
- Capable of performing heavy lifting when required
- Familiarity with tractor-trailers is a plus
