Job Summary
We are seeking a fast, efficient, and friendly Cashier / Barista to join our high-volume cafeteria team. This is a rare food-service role that offers a stable, predictable lifestyle: work strictly Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with all weekends and major holidays completely off!
In this role, you will be the driving force behind our morning and lunch rushes—speedily processing customer transactions, crafting classic coffee beverages, and keeping checkout lines moving smoothly. Responsibilities
- High-Volume Cashiering: Efficiently operate the POS system to process cash, card, and mobile payments during peak breakfast and lunch hours.
- Fast-Paced Barista Service: Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages quickly and consistently according to standard recipes.
- Line & Guest Management: Greet a high volume of daily guests warmly, maintain line speed, and answer menu questions with a positive attitude.
- Stocking & Display: Assist in restocking grab-and-go items, pastries, and beverage stations before, during, and after service rushes.
- Station Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized register and beverage area in compliance with food safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier, barista, or front-of-house staff in a high-volume café, cafeteria, or fast-casual environment is preferred.
- Speed & Accuracy: Ability to handle rapid transaction volumes accurately while maintaining a calm, friendly demeanor under pressure.
- Multitasking: Strong time-management skills to easily pivot between ringing up orders, crafting drinks, and restocking during peak hours.
- Punctuality: Because this shift starts promptly at 7:00 AM to kick off our breakfast rush, reliable morning attendance is a must.
- Basic Math: Dependable math skills for making change quickly and balancing the drawer.
