Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Send out wire and ACH transactions, record in appropriate systems.
- Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify accuracy of financial data.
- Process payroll accurately while adhering to relevant tax regulations and payroll standards.
- Assist with budget preparation, financial report writing, and month-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain meticulous records for audits or reviews.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (2 years +) or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping and debits & credits.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks (especially QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of corporate accounting practices environments is preferred.
- Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, general ledger accounting, and financial concepts is essential.
- Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently while maintaining high accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks such as journal entries, account analysis, budgeting, and financial report writing simultaneously.
