Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZWe RequireTwo years of professional procurement experienceBachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related fieldA combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis Other Requirements CAPA certification within 6 months of hireProfessional Certification (CPPO/CPPB) within three years of hireWe Also ValuePublic sector procurement experienceJob ContributionsPrepare and issue formal solicitations, including Invitations for Bids, Requests for Proposals, Invitation to Negotiate, and Requests for QualificationsProvide training to using agencies on procurement best practicesConduct public pre-bid/proposal conferences and public solicitation openings, and serve as chairperson/facilitator for evaluation meetings and requesting Best and Final OffersEvaluate responses to solicitations based on vendor qualifications, price, and conformance requirementsDevelop and manage contracts for a wide variety of supplies, services, consultants, and capital equipment, including analysis, evaluation, and approval of contractor change orders and contract amendmentsMonitor and evaluate contractor performance and contract renewals, and address vendor/contractor deficienciesServe as a commodity and service specialist and information resource to user departments, other government entities, and the public to interpret, explain, and make decisions regarding public procurement law and department policiesResearch and advise departments on market trends, new product and service developments, and alternative source selection to assist in developing the requirements scope of work, or technical specificationsWorking ConditionsThis position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditionsThe standard schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, at the downtown Phoenix office.
