Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Hybrid: Fairfield, NJ
AFG & Life Care Associates is a leading provider of vocational and life care planning services, including evaluations, vocational testing, vocational research, transferable skills analysis and expert testimony.
We currently have a Full-Time opening for a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor/Vocational Expert who has been court qualified, or has the potential to become court qualified, to join our small but busy office located in Fairfield, New Jersey.
As a Vocational Expert, you will perform evaluations for purposes of employability in litigation cases. You will interview and evaluate individuals for cases involving personal injury or divorce and render an opinion regarding their employability in the current job market.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Interview, evaluate and assess an individual’s employability in the workforce. This includes administering tests such as aptitude, interest and achievement, and completing a transferable skills analysis. Gather vocational and labor market research. Write comprehensive reports summarizing your results. Provide testimony at court hearings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: MA or MS in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling or Rehabilitation Counseling is required. CRC strongly preferred or eligibility for CRC certification.
Experience: Strong communication skills with experience writing reports are a must.
3-5 years' work experience in Vocational Rehabilitation preferred but will consider recent grads. We will mentor the right candidate.
