Hoa Sen Daycare is a Vietnamese language immersion preschool serving children ages 2–5 in Southeast Portland. We are seeking caring, enthusiastic educators who believe children learn best through play, exploration, meaningful relationships, and a strong sense of belonging.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori approaches, our program nurtures children's curiosity, creativity, confidence, and kindergarten readiness while preserving and celebrating Vietnamese language and culture.

Open Positions:
1 Lead Teacher (Starting at $25/hr). Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
- Foster children's curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence.
- Create and maintain a Vietnamese language immersion environment by speaking Vietnamese with children throughout the day whenever developmentally appropriate.
- Integrate Vietnamese language, songs, stories, books, traditions, celebrations, and cultural experiences into everyday classroom learning.
- Observe children's development and communicate their progress with families.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications Lead Teacher
Applicants should:
- Meet Oregon Office of Child Care Teacher qualifications (
- Must have a myORO account
- Oregon Registry Step 7 or higher preferred.
- Previous experience working in an early childhood setting.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Fluency in Vietnamese is required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues in both Vietnamese and English.
Required Certifications
Applicants must be enrolled in (or willing to enroll in) Oregon's Central Background Registry (CBR) and complete all required trainings within 30 days of hire

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly pay based on education, qualifications, and experience.
