Work Location, Schedule, & Pay
This is a contract opportunity based at TWIA's headquarters in South Austin, Texas. The position requires onsite work and offers a flexible schedule, with start times between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Employees work an eight-hour day, with a one-hour lunch break.
This role pays $20/hr.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are the usual, basic, and essential functions of the position. However, this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent. - Assign daily workflows based on volume to ensure results as outlined in the department’s production metrics
- Receives, sorts, opens, and incoming mail
- Scans policy correspondence, payments, etc. for incoming mail
- Data enter and create activities in Policy Center and CGI policy administration systems
- Prepare premium payments, date coupon, scan, batch checks and run tapes for all batches
- Review and route TWIA and TFPA incoming faxes and emails
- Prepare and scan TWIA and TFPA incoming claims mail
- Prepares old policies for back scanning and back scans
- Processes all returned correspondence
- Provide customer service to other departments concerning mailroom and parcel services
- Processing and sorting of incoming and outgoing mail to include: USPS, UPS, other mail carriers, overnight deliveries, and deliveries from outside vendors
- Internal mail pickup and delivery
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school education or GED
Two (2) years of clerical/support experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Basic knowledge of property insurance and underwriting guidelines
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office
- Knowledge of automated/paperless systems
- Time management and prioritization skills in a constantly changing environment
- Clerical knowledge of administrative procedures and systems
- Knowledge of “Windows” based computer system
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to be dependable and maintain an attendance record with minimal unscheduled absences
- Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate effective organizational skills
- Knowledge of TWIA/TFPA systems
- Ability to correct improper entries and recognize deviations from the standard practices without assistance
Ability to identify and solve problems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires the ability to speak, hear, and use a personal computer for standard business communications and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
