Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients with precision and consistency
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Follow recipes meticulously to ensure product quality and adherence to menu standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas in accordance with food safety procedures
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient inventory management to support efficient food production
- Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques, including poaching, braising, grilling, and food sanitizing procedures
- Support catering events and large-volume orders while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or a culinary environment is preferred; dietary aide or restaurant experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and meal preparation
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment confidently and efficiently during high-volume production periods
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food handling standards necessary for consistent quality
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for culinary arts with a focus on pizza making or similar food industry experience is highly desirable
