The Bar Service Manager plays a critical role in bringing this vision to life through service, quality, and energy. We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar operations with enthusiasm and expertise. In this role, you will oversee daily bar activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage a talented team of bartenders and staff. Your leadership will drive a lively atmosphere, uphold high standards of food and beverage quality, and maintain efficient operations that delight our guests. Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Guest Experience
· Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality and service.
· Actively engage with guests to create a welcoming, memorable experience.
· Foster a high-energy, guest-focused bar environment.
· Ensure bartenders provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service.
· Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor always.
Bar Operations
· Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures.
· Ensure adherence to recipes, proper pour standards (including use of jiggers), and presentation guidelines.
· Maintain speed of service without compromising quality.
· Monitor cleanliness, organization, and bar setup for efficiency and visibility.
· Ensure proper glassware availability and overall bar readiness.
Quality Control
· Ensure all beverages meet Walnut Grill standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
· Enforce use of correct glassware and preparation methods.
· Address and resolve any inconsistencies or service issues immediately.
Atmosphere & Bar Experience
Create a dynamic and appealing environment by managing:
· Lighting: Bright and natural during lunch; gradually dimmed for evening ambiance.
· Music: Maintained at an energetic but conversational level; adjusted throughout service.
· Televisions: Set to appropriate sports programming, with sound for major/local events.
· Indoor/Outdoor Experience: Manage doors, airflow, temperature, heaters, fans, and firepits for maximum guest comfort. TVs and music always.
· Patio Bar: Ensure clean, organized and ready for full capacity service.
· Overall Vibe: Ensure the bar feels lively, engaging, and always inviting.
Inventory & Supply Management
· Monitor and maintain adequate levels of glassware and bar supplies.
· Assist with alcohol ordering and inventory management (as assigned).
· Minimize waste and ensure responsible product usage.
Business Development & Promotions
· Partner with management to grow bar sales and guest traffic.
· Help promote specials and events through social media and in-store initiatives.
· Plan and execute a minimum of two bar-focused promotions or events per month.
· Gather and communicate guest feedback to improve operations and service.
Schedule & Requirements
· Work 4–5 shifts per week, including evenings and peak-volume shifts.
· Maintain open availability based on business needs.
· Must be 20 years of age or older.
· Minimum of 2–3 years bartending experience required.
· Must maintain RAMP certification at all times.
Compensation
· Hourly wage: $8 – $12 per hour, based on experience and tenure.
· Eligible for tips during shifts.
Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
