Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate levels of speech and language if necessary
- Identify student’s goals for treatment within their IEP
- Create and carry out an individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needs and goals
- Teach student how to make sounds, improve their voices, and maintain fluency
- Help students improve vocabulary and sentence structure
- Counsel students and their families on how to improve communication and maintain/master speech goals
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and educators.
- Previous SLP experience in education setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of different SLP methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to encourage, positively reinforce, and provide constructive feedback to students to build confidence.
- Proficiency with online teaching platforms and tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams) or ability to learn various online platforms.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania SLP License, required
- FBI, Child Abuse and PA Criminal Record clearance results from within the past year or the ability to obtain during hiring process.

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
