Job Position: Material Handler
Location: Justin, TX 76247
Pay Rate: $17.50
Shift: We have openings on multiple shifts (NO OVERNIGHT)
Description: Stride Staffing has partnered with a 3rd party logistics company located in Justin (5-7 minutes from the TX Motor Speedway). Together we are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Material Handlers to join their team. We are seeking candidates with experience using RF Scanners, loading and unloading, filling and prepping orders for shipment as well as receiving orders.
Responsibilities:
Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment
Locate material and equipment needed for each job
Remove material and equipment from completed jobs
Issue and return material as instructed
Supply material to all jobs as assigned
Document orders, materials and any stock movements
Obtain cycle counts
May unload incoming material and store in proper place
Periodically checks for unsafe conditions and corrects as needed
Practices proper lifting techniques and safe working habits
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse type environment
Experience in third party logistics is a huge plus but not a requirement
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for long periods
Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Work Environment:
This position is based in an active warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to dust, noise, and extreme hot or cold temperatures depending on the season.
