We are seeking a motivated, tech-forward Coffee Shop Manager to oversee daily operations, lead the team, and help create a welcoming and efficient café environment.
Position Summary
The Coffee Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily café operations, including customer service, employee management, scheduling, inventory, sanitation compliance, and operational standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality, excited by emerging technology, and comfortable working alongside our AI robotic barista system.
Adam prepares the drinks, while the management team and staff focus on customer interaction, operational oversight, and assisting with simple troubleshooting when needed. Training will be provided on the robot system and daily operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day café operations
- Set operational standards, policies, and procedures while ensuring team accountability
- Hire, train, coach, and manage employees
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure efficient store coverage
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming environment
- Greet customers, introduce menu offerings, and answer questions regarding ingredients and beverages
- Accurately take customer orders and process credit card payments
- Assist with operating and monitoring the AI Robot Barista system
- Perform basic troubleshooting and ensure all systems, including robots and computers, remain operational
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café
- Refill ingredients and maintain inventory levels for beverage production
- Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback, operational concerns, and menu recommendations to leadership
- Monitor store performance and support continuous operational improvements
Qualifications
- Previous management or leadership experience in a coffee shop, boba tea shop, café, bakery, or hospitality environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Passion for hospitality, innovation, and new technology
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety regulations
- Experience managing teams and maintaining operational standards
- Comfortable learning and working with AI-powered technology systems
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- Valid ServSafe Manager Certification
- Valid San Francisco Health Card
- Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty coffee or boba tea experience
- Experience in high-volume café environments
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management
