American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with high-risk L&D experience and C-EFM certification for a day shift assignment requiring a compact or MD RN license.

Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
-
High risk L&D patient population
-
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Every other holiday required
-
On-call required, 36 hours per 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period, with a 45-minute response window
-
Floating required within skillset to Mom/Baby and postpartum units
-
Active RN license (Compact or MD) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and C-EFM through NCC
-
2 years of recent L&D experience within the last 7 years required
-
Prior charge nurse experience required
-
At least 1 prior travel assignment required

Experience in high-risk L&D, circulating for C-sections, fetal heart monitoring, and antepartum care required

Triage experience for obstetrical patients preferred

Mother/baby and postpartum experience preferred

Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including assisting with high-risk deliveries and circulating for C-sections

Perform fetal monitoring including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns using external fetal monitoring

Deliver antepartum care and manage triage of obstetrical patients

Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate
-
No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment

Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to the travel experience requirement
