Overview: The selected candidate would be responsible for managing an existing portfolio of commercial maintenance accounts, as well as developing and selling new business for new clients, generating proposals and contracts , extensive knowledge of horticultural and maintenance practices, knowledge of installation practices, working individually and collaboratively with employees of all levels, and building relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage an existing commercial landscape maintenance portfolio
- Meet with clients regarding landscape services and site improvements
- Increase sales of seasonal enhancements
- Monitor client preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
- Resolve customer concerns regarding sales and service
- Review operational records and reports to forecast sales and determine profitability
- Expand upon the existing client base by generating new sales leads
- Preparation of contract renewals and proposals
- Visit client locations to ensure quality of work is exceeding expectations
- Assess performance of landscape crews based on quality and efficiency
- Provide reports to the President
Additional Duties:
- Work with the snow team in the winter months
- Work interdepartmentally to expand sales revenues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years landscape industry experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with a team
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven sales and account management history
- Bilingual a plus
- Valid driver's license
Additional Information: This position is a full-time, year-round position with a salary commensurate with experience, optional commission based compensation and a benefits package offered.
