Dovetail Bar is an award-winning craft coffee & cocktail bar located in downtown New Orleans. We are currently looking for a part-time Barista to join our highly-skilled team. This role blends high-quality coffee service with the fast-paced energy of a bar environment. You’ll be responsible for crafting excellent espresso drinks, providing warm customer service, and supporting bar operations as needed during shifts.
Key Responsibilites
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages
- Prepare classic cocktails (no prior bartending experience necessary)
- Maintain consistency and presentation standards for all drinks
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and POS systems
- Keep the space clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Handle POS, cash, and card transactions accurately
- Open and close the coffee bar in a timely manner
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous barista experience
- Comfortable working in a bar environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and anticipate team/bar needs
- Ability to multitask and handle large crowds
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
