Position: Long-Term Substitute – Bilingual School Social Worker
Dates: Approximately 9/18/2026 – 12/18/2026 (12 weeks)
Pay: $250 per day
Overview:
We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) School Social Worker to serve in a long-term substitute role. This position provides social-emotional and behavioral support to students and collaborates closely with staff and families to promote student success.
Responsibilities Include:

Provide individual and small group counseling

Support students with social-emotional, behavioral, and attendance needs

Assist with MTSS, SEL, and PBIS implementation

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
-
Conduct observations and support behavior intervention planning

Connect families with community resources, including home visits as needed

Maintain appropriate documentation and service records
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work
-
Illinois PEL with School Social Work Endorsement

Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Physical Demands:

Ability to read and communicate effectively with employees of the District.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in either written diagram or oral form.

Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.

Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
