Smiles on Wheels is a non-profit, mobile dental hygiene program located in Jackson County, travelling up to a 70 mile radius to provide services to children in the comfort of their school setting.
In collaboration with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and Delta Dental, our goal is to leave no child without the ability to receive preventive oral health care.
Smiles on Wheels is currently seeking a high-spirited individual, with the motivation to help others to fill our Registered Dental Hygienist position.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a Dental Hygienist who enjoys working with children and would like to positively impact children in learning about good oral health. Perfect for the RDH comfortable working in a 2 person team.
This position requires an individual with a valid, current RDH license and:
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accurate/ organized records
- Work well in a team setting.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs
- Ability to travel out of town
- Assist in set-up and teardown of dental hygiene equipment
- Cleaning, sterilizing and organizing dental instruments
- Maintain HiPAA and OSHA requirements
- Maintain CPR
