The Deron School of N.J., Inc., an approved private school for students with disabilities, ages 3-21 is seeking applicants for a Long Term Replacement Health and Physical Education teacher in our Montclair Campus (Ages 12-21). The applicant should possess the ability to multi-task and excel in a fast paced environment, as well as, maintain high standards for teaching and learning. Experience with ABA programming a plus.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for staff and students.
- Prepare and present lessons in Physical Education and Health for Middle School and High School Age students with special needs. (There is a Physical Education Teacher to offer support.)
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of special learners.
- Supervise and assist staff with the instruction of students in both Health and Physical Education.
- Preparing report cards and progress reports.
- Working with other Physical Education Teacher to provide students with a meaningful experience in learning to live a happy and safe life.
Schedule: 8:15am to 3:15pm
11 1/2 Month Position: Regular School Year and Extended School Year
Must have a New Jersey Teaching Health and Physical Education Certification
