Reality House is in search of a part-time company van driver who would be responsible for safely transporting clients between program locations, appointments, and other designated destinations. This role requires a high level of professionalism, reliability, and adherence to safety standards while operating a company-provided 15-passenger van. The driver would work Thursday through Saturday from 8am-3pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company-issued 15-passenger van in accordance with all traffic laws and organizational policies
- Transport clients between designated program locations in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide transportation for client appointments, including medical, social service, and other scheduled visits
- Complete occasional deliveries and pickups within the five boroughs as assigned
- Maintain a consistent schedule and ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off times
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle at all times
- Interact with clients in a respectful, professional, and supportive manner
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and any incidents as required
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (driver abstract required)
- Prior experience driving passenger vans or similar vehicles preferred
- Knowledge of routes and traffic patterns within the five boroughs
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion when working with clients
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Working Conditions:
- Frequent driving within urban environments, including heavy traffic conditions
- May require assisting clients entering and exiting the vehicle
- Occasional lifting of light to moderate items for deliveries
Pay: $20.00 per hour
